Phone service suspended. Bill paid and still no service.

Unpaid bill by direct debit on the 26th. Service suspended so paid my bill on the 6th at lunchtime. Turned my phone off and back on on the 7th ( 11pm ) but still can't make or receive calls.

Can anyone advise please?

Can't call 789 or 150 even though texts were sent saying to call when my services have been suspended. Only option via live chat is to speak to someone at upgrades but they can't help as they can't access my account. 

Still services remain suspended after bill was paid over 2 days ago.

I'm afraid you are around the fourth post on this subject this week. 

Seems Virgin are quick to disconnect but slow to reconnect - all the while taking your money and not providing a service

You're not wrong there. I had a quick google and it came up with similar posts in this forum about the impossibility of getting reconnected. Been a customer for 8 years and it's my first missed direct debit ever, pay the bill online ( only £25 ) and set up a new direct debit....but still services suspended. Then you receive text messages from Virgin saying call them to rectify the issue even though they have suspended incoming and out-going call. Why they suspend the ability to make a call to Virgin is beyond me.

The phone number from an alternative phone is 0345 6000 789 if you can borrow one.

Bill has been paid for 4 days and you still haven't turned my services back on! What the hell is going on?

This is mainly a customer to customer forum. vm mods are active on here, but the response times vary from a few hours up to about a week. 

I believe the threads appear for them differently to on here. If there are responses to the questions, they could get the impression that the subject is progressing in the community forum (obviously not for you though). 

Hopefully a moderator will be able to reply to you soon.
