Hello,
I am currently in New Zealand and would like to use my UK Virgin SIM to receive text messages whilst overseas. I followed all of the necessary instructions before I left the UK (data roaming on and international call barring off etc) but I cannot get the SIM to work.
I never received a welcome text from Virgin stating I had arrived in New Zealand. The next instructions from Virgin are to call a number (not sure how this is meant to be possible when your phone won't connect to a local network).
Can I also clarify how long my UK SIM will continue to function? On other posts in this forum it states it will expire after 90 days - is this correct even if I am still paying my monthly fee?
