Hi All,
I have not been informed yet when my PAYG tariff is ending but looking on the Community posts it will not be long. So I need to think about the implications with having a Locked Virgin Alcatel Pixi phone.
Will Virgin make a charge to unlock the phone so I can move to another PAYG SIM provider ?
Will Virgin unlock my phone before they give me an end date ?
Has anyone experience of how long Virgin takes to unlock their phones ?
Thanks for any help,

After the recent SIM replacement activity over the last few years which included PAYG SIMs, no phone that works with a current Virgin Mobile SIM should still be locked.
All devices had to be unlocked to work with the new SIMs.

Thanks BenMcr,
For your quick reply and putting my mind at rest. I have had Virgin mobile phones for a long time and have only used Virgin PAYG SIMS in all of them. So to me this is will be a big wrench and learning curve to move away from Virgin but I only need calls and Texts from a mobile.
