Had this phone for about 8 months and the Oomph for longer than that but still I'm not getting 5g, anyone else having the same issue?

You will have to be moved over to Vodafone before 5G will work. You may still be on EE.
What networks do you see when you do a manual network search? That should tell us if the move has taken place

And you'll need to check whether Vodafone has 5G coverage in your area. It's still very limited.
