Not able to send text after inserting new sim card

Hello,

I have a Doro PhoneEasy 612 phone as I am partially sighted.  I had no issues with my old Virgin SIM card and been able to send/receive text messages and make phone calls. 

I received a letter from Virgin to say that i will be receiving a new SIM card to replace the old SIM card. After inserting the new SIM card I am not able to send text messages with the message 'Failed to Send' .However I do receive text messages and able to make phone calls.

The message centre number looks correct '447458399008'

Any advise on what the problem could be.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your new sim, how has it been since your post? Have you been able to send a text? Have you rebooted your phone?

Many thanks for you reply. I am still having issues with not been able to send text messages.  The strange thing is that on Sunday evening I was able to send a text message but yesterday I had the same problem.

I thought it might be my signal but tries in different location and still get the same problem.

Are you able to test it on a different phone just so we can rule out if the issue is with the phone or the sim?

I have tried the SIM in another phone and it works. So the issue is the phone but old SIM worked.

Is there anything you are able to do?

The message I get is the following 

'Send Failed'

The exact phone is Doro PhoneEasy 409gsm.
