No signal

I have had no Mobile signal ince since late morning. I sent a message on Twitter but they told me to phone for help. Can't phone as I have no Mobile signal! Is it a problem in Edinburgh Scotland area or is it just me? I'm a carer for 83 year old mother and need to be contactable
