No service whilst in USA!!!

I am currently in the USA with no service on my device! I have been on the phone for hours to tech support at great expense to myself but still have no service! Whilst on holiday I had to have an operation and need another one before returning to the UK. My wife is severely disabled and we need this phone working!

If you are logged in look for a purple envelope at the top right of this page. If it shows a number other than zero you have a message waiting.

Re: No service whilst in USA!!!

Would have hoped that the vm moderator would have fixed it for you.

Is roaming switched on, on your online account (make sure that international call barring is off too).

Did you get a welcome message on arrival?

Have you tried manually connecting to all networks?

I'm sure you are aware of the costs involved, like data at £5/MB. On that subject do you have a spending cap on your account? There is about a £52 limit to stop it getting too much.

Re: No service whilst in USA!!!

Actually having a different SIM for the US is good advice. A certain network who's name is a number does roam like home in the USA, even for PAYG. 1p per MB if you don't buy a package. That's 500x cheaper.
