No network connection after being abroad

After being away in Spain I've not been able to connect to the Internet uess I use WiFi. Yes I've restarted and switched the phone off and on. I've gone an and off flight mode, I've changed the network setting so I have to select virgin and I've had it on automatic. Nothing works. What is the fix!?

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with the network connection.

Depending on what handset you have can you try this please. 

 

To Switch back when in the UK:

For Android
Select Apps from Home screen
Select Virgin SIM Toolkit Icon
Select Roaming
Select Mode
Select Automatic and go back to Home Screen

 

For iOS:
Select Settings from the Home Screen
Select Phone Icon
Select SIM Applications
On newer iOS 14 - Settings -> Mobile Data -> SIM Applications
Select Roaming
Select Mode
Select Manual
Select International and you are done, go back Home screen to retry

To change back when returning to the UK:
Select Settings from the Home Screen
Select Phone Icon
Select SIM Applications
On newer iOS 14 - Settings -> Mobile Data -> SIM Applications
Select Roaming
Select Mode
Select Automatic mode - you are done, go back to Home screen

It is important that you set the SIM roaming app back to Automatic mode once in the UK or you will not be able to access service when you return.

Thanks for that but it still doesn't work.

Thanks for those details.

We will need to send out a new Sim card for you. 

We will do our best to deliver your order within 24hrs.

Once you receive it pop it in the handset and follow the instructions on screen.

oh, thats a shame. why do i need a new sim? will i loose any information if i change the sim? 

The information like calls and contacts are generally saved on the handset. The Sim is faulty and will need replacing. I tried resetting all the network settings from here and it didn't work.
