I have recently switched my mobile chip from Giff Gaff to Virgin Mobile and I am so frustrated on how my internet connection just doesn’t work. Even where the coverage area tool says I should be getting good 4G signal indoor and outdoor.

I wonder if there is anything I could do to try to make this work better?

If you have no data the most likely cause is missing APN settings

TRY: text ALL to 789922

Alternatively the settings are in a sticky at the top of this group

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I don't think it is an APN thing. My data eventually works. Specially when I leave the city for work.
It seems to be a bad coverage issue in my city. It fails to work 90% of times. And the coverage area tool tells me I should be getting at least a decent reception outdoors.

I wonder which network Virgin is using. I heard some people complaining about VOdaphone's 4g in my city as well.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your mobile services. 

 

So that I can assist you further, would you possible be able to provide me with a post code of a local shop,  I would like to look at the masts in the local area and see how they are looking.
