No mobile data after returning to UK from abroad

Hi,

My mobile data has not been working since I returned to the UK last month from working abroad for a week.

I was using my roaming data whilst abroad Ok with no problems.

I have tried the following:

  • Restarting my phone
  • Removing SIM, restarting phone, replacing SIM.
  • Installing a new configuration message obtained from texting 'ALL' to 789922.
  • Aeroplane mode for >5 minutes.
  • Settings->Connections->Mobile Network->Network Operators->Select Manually. This does not find any 'Virgin' option.

Also tried everything in https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Virgin-Mobile/Moblie-Data-not-working-after-holiday/m-p/5112079...

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hi there Adam124,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

Can I ask have you turned off international roaming via the SIM toolkit?

 

Select Apps from Home screen
Select Virgin SIM Toolkit Icon
Select Roaming
Select Mode
Select Automatic and go back to Home Screen

Yes I have tried that also.

I have clicked through to "Automatic*" and this does not seem to have resolved the problem.

Should I try one of the manual modes?

I tried the following:

  • Switch SIM roaming mode from "Automatic" to "National"
  • Power off phone for >5 minutes
  • Power on phone
  • Data still does not work
  • Switch SIM roaming mode back to "Automatic"

Data still not working.
