No data connection - new sim

Hi all, 

I recently received a new Virgin sim, as part of an upgrade to their network. I had the sim on for one day, and while it connects to the network and I can make phone calls and receive texts, I cannot use the data. The previous sim was working fine, so I assume this one is the problem. I am not sure if it matters, but if I check the APNs, there are none. How can I solve this?

First try sending a text ALL to 789922 to see if the APN downloads.

If not you can add them manually for Android  https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Virgin-Mobile/New-Purple-Virgin-Mobile-SIM-and-need-the-APN-set...

For a iPhone, you can try reset network in the phones settings.

Thanks teabag, I had to add the APN manually and now it works.
