  • Does Virgin block nhs numbers incoming. My daughters missed nhs call backs because calls aren’t coming through 0115 962 7727 and 0115 962 7627

Does Virgin block certain nhs numbers for incoming calls

Thanks for your post, and welcome back to our Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear your daughter is having trouble receiving calls from those two numbers. We don't block these numbers from our network. To confirm, is it just these two contact numbers that your daughter is having problems receiving calls from?

Are the calls being identified on the device as being missed, or are they not coming through at all?

She receives a text message saying she missed a call. She would be given a time for a call and wait for it. Phone didn’t ring and wasn’t in call log

Can you daughter please check that the numbers haven't previously been blocked on the handset?

If she need help checking this, please let us know the make and model of the handset and we can help.

She wouldn’t have blocked the number when needing to receive calls   If she had no signal at the exact time the call was made would it show on her call log. Then would it be possible to then receive a text moments later (signal back although not having moved anywhere ) saying she missed the call. One such missed call was on the tram then followed by text message that she received. The second time she was in her bedroom. The signal is not great in the house but she didn’t move out of her room yet no call came through but a text did

Thanks for your reply, can we please just confirm this has been indeed checked to make sure it's not the case (if possible)?

When out and your signal is lost, you may simultaneously not be able to receive or make calls which could have lead in missing a call potentially.
Once the signal is reinstated a few moments later though, the text message is able to come through and let you know of this call you missed, if this makes sense.

Could you please as well confirm if the same issue occurs with other calls at all?
