New Phone says no sim card

Virgin sent me a  nano sim card for my new phone. It was recognised at first as being in Slot 1, but now does not work at all and says no sim card so I can't send or receive texts. As my old sim has been cancelled I am stuffed.   All other connections are ok.

Hi SVS, 

Really sorry that your new SIM isn't working, this ins't good. 

Does the SIM work in the second slot if you have a dual SIM handset?

If not then we can look at sending another SIM card an see what's going on.

Awaiting new Sim Card in the post.   Possible the first one was faulty.

New sim arrived and after a call to Virgin Media it is now working.   Obviously the first sim was faulty.
