Muddled up contacts

I am in Spain at the moment and I have dial assist turned on but my phone doesn’t connect to numbers in the UK and says the number is not recognised.

The number on the screen is correct but broken down into double digits for example

07 97 00 00 00 0

Is there a workaround for this?

Hi, spacing should be ok but could try editing the number to remove it, it would need the country code and first 0 removed to dial UK.  EG +447971234567

Hi Stanl, 

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you're having this issue. 

As mentioned by BumbleVMTech, you would need to remove the 0 and put +44 instead. This should allow the number to be dialled then. 

If it doesn't please let us know how long you've been having the issue for. Have you been able to make any calls since landline in Spain? Are you able to text or use data?

My latest issue is that I cannot send emails from my @ntlworld account.

Receiving OK but unable to send.

Its fine in the UK but not in Spain.

Home tomorrow so I’ll check it out when I’m home.

I fixed it.

Went back to basics and changed the password then deleted the account from my phone then reinstalled the email account and all working fine now.
