Mobile order stuck somewhere

I have placed an order for a new phone contract on the 25th November. Up to this very moment I still dont have anything more than an automated email saying someone will get in touch with me in a few days.... I have called 150 from another Virgin Mobile phone on the 3rf december to follow up and the lady was very apologetic, but was unable to help me any further than promising I will bet an email within 5 days - I've given it 10 days now, just to be sure, and I still have nothing whatsoever.

At this point, my PAC code will expire soon and I'll have to go back to my old provider again to ask for another... Any clues to what's the problem there please?
