After no mobile service when visiting France & Italy late May/ early June pleased to say that a new SIM solved the issue. Been in France, Germany & Switzerland last week with no problems.
What is concerning is that VMOB seemingly knew that older SIM would not work abroad & yet when asking for help no one thought to mention that.
Even when they decided to send me a new SIM they didn't know if it would solve the issue! Makes you wonder if anyone in VMOB tech outfit knows what they are doing!

Thanks for your post and for coming back to update us on things.
We're glad the new SIM has worked and you're no longer having an issue.
After exhausting our checks we do try a new SIM as a last resort. Sometimes this will work but other times it won't as something else may be at play. With roaming it can be hit and miss.
Either way, we will pass your feedback along and fingers crossed you'll have no further issues.
