Mobile Data not working in EU

I have read many threads on this subject but haven't been able to resolve my proble.

I have been a Virgin customer for many years. Previously I was able to use mobile data but it has stopped working and I have no idea why. I have a SIM only (purple SIM) contract. I have check Data Roaming is switched on in my account. I am currently located in Greece.

 In my APN setting I see the following: 

Internet APN

Name: Proximus Internet

APN: internet.proximus.be

MCC: 206

MNC: 201

Authentication Type: Not set

APN Protocol: IPv4

APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4

 

MMS APN

Name: Proximus MMS

APN: event.proximus.be

MMSC: http://mmsc.proximus.be/mms

MMS Proxy: 10.55.14.75

MMS Port: 8080

MCC: 206

MNC: 01

Authentication Type: None

APN Type: mms

APN Protocol: IPv4

APN Roaming protocol: IPv4 

 

I do not see any Virgin APN settings. I try to add the Virgin APN settings specified here (https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Digital-life/Mobile-APN-settings/ba-p/3629014) but if I specify MMC: 234 or MNC: 38 it will not allow me to save the APN settings.

My partner has a similar contract with Virgin. She also does not have any Virgin APN settings on her phone but Mobile Data works fine with the exact same settings as me.

 Any suggestions what my problem maybe?

Have you tried manually selecting a different network? 

Some partner networks only seem to allow voice calls and text messages. When I was in Lanzarote when I roamed on Orange, it didn’t allow data. So try switching to another network.

If you have access to 789 try speaking to one of the team or alternatively buy a OTE phonecard for €4 and use a payphone and dial 0044 345 454 1111.

Thanks Nick. I did read that suggestion in other threads on the same subject and should have said in my original post that I have already tried this.

OTE and Vodafone dominate the mobile market in Greece. I have tried specifying both networks and neither make a difference.

Any other suggestions out there?

Just to confirm have our Mobile team advised if roaming is active?

Thanks for the reply.

The mobile team haven't advised anything. I have roaming enabled in my account and mobile data enabled on my phone. As I say, it used to work but not now.

How do I get this resolved?
