This error message started to appear top left screen from time to time.
It first happened with Google Pixel XL then when phone changed to Pixel 3XL SIM card swapped over but error again appeared. New SIM was obtained, but still same error message.
Rebooting resolves it, until next time.
Card has been removed and cleaned but error returns.
It’s only fairly recent, last month or so.
Google are unable to provide any useful answers.
Thanks for using the forums to get this looked at, I can see how its perplexing you somewhat.
Can I ask what Google advised please? And also if you've given our mobile faults a ring, what did they advise as well?
Can I ask if you've tried the SIM card in a different handset make? Like Samsung or Apple?
Also, can you send/receive texts and phones calls?
Google didn't offer anything of use, other than try another SIM / another phone. Neither of which is possible.
When the error displayed a call started dropped immediately. I didn't try texts.
The original SIM in the old phone worked fine for ages before this issue cropped up.
I haven't phoned you because, strangely enough, since posting here the error seems to have stopped so there'd be nothing to replicate.
2 different SIMs in 2 different phone, the only common factor is the network.
At this moment I'm monitoring it.
Thank you El_Defensor.
I agree at this point, the best idea would be to monitor the issue to see if it reoccurs. If it does, we will need to run some further diagnostics.
In the meantime, if you get the error, can you please try going in to Airplane Mode for 10 seconds and then back out?
It is a strange problem but I am sure we can figure it out 🙂
Keep us updated if you have any further issues with it and we can go from there.
