Hello,
I have read numerous threads relating this, so far nothing worked for me.
Ported myself from EE to Virgin Mobile.Received the text that the porting was completed Monday 11:02 AM.
Since then i am unable to make iMessage work.
Tried everything i saw on this community/reddit/apple forums ( basically everywhere i could find a similar topic)
Got in touch with Apple Support and they advised i should contact my carrier.
Everything left for me its now to wait like others have done to see if it will magically fix itself.
For whoever went trough this, how long did it take for iMessage to work for your number? ( i am only able to use it via my apple id )

Update: 6pm tonight i turned off imessage waited 30 seconds and activate it again.
imessage went straight to my ported number so its all good.
So in my case it took aprox 55 hours to fix itself since I received the message with “porting compleyed”.
In case anyone will come searching for this later just be patient 😁

Sign out of your Apple ID
Switch off and Reboot the phone
Sign back in to your Apple ID

As mentioned tried everything, most recently 9am this morning.
Still failing to activate my IMessage on the ported number.
Correct number its displayed under settings->phone->my number
wifi calling disabled as i saw some of the other users had trouble with them.
Imessage is disabled on my old phone,no sim inserted there.

If nothing has worked then its best to wait for this to sync with the apple verification centre. which can take a few days to happen.
