I-Phone 7 battery fault

My daughter has an I-Phone 7 on a three year contract.  The contract is two years in and the battery has developed a fault where it drains quickly and sometimes switches off at 40% battery life.  Am i right in saying that therepair would be covered by virgin under the sale of goods act 1979 section 14.  The phone should be fit for purpose for the length of the contract, three years?  Could a Moderator advise?

Regards

Eddie

Re: I-Phone 7 battery fault

Hello

Although I am not a moderator, I can answer the question Sales of Goods act doesn't cover consumable parts like batteries I am afraid.
