Re: EE’s 800 MHz frequency

If you are on 2600MHz then God help you on coverage. It is shorter range, higher capacity and usually used in areas of high population. Whole swathes of the land mass do not have that coverage.

Oh look, my daughter's VM phone is working on 1800MHz at the moment (just checked)

Re: EE’s 800 MHz frequency

No - I've never seen a connection to 1800MHz, just something called band 3 :-)

Re: EE’s 800 MHz frequency

LTE Discovery proved useful for me.

I always thought by their adverts that 3 only used 800MHz for VoLTE but mine can sit happily on Band 3 1800MHz with VoLTE as well as as band 20

Re: EE’s 800 MHz frequency

interesting... if vm ever gets round to getting 800mhz volte (and wifi calling too) I would prefer it if they had 800mhz to use as well.

that http://www.matt.qa/ee/ webpage shows that even though I'm in a rural area 800mhz is active for EE , 4 out of 5

mind you it says umts 3g on 2100mhz is 4 out of 5 as well and 3g is a rubbish signal just here.

Re: EE’s 800 MHz frequency

For what it's worth, my location shows as 2bars 4G1800 & 3bars 4G800 on the matt link. That translates, indoors, to my device jumping between both bands but 4G800 always registers some signal bars which Band 3 can struggle with sometimes.
