Data in North America

I’m a pay monthly customer and I am going to Dallas, Texas tomorrow.

I know that I won’t be able to use my U.K. data whilst away but does anyone know if it’s possible to buy data through Virgin to use in North America and how much it costs?

tried contacting Virgin through the text messaging service but that was this afternoon and I’ve had no reply since.

Sadly, there are no data add ons you can buy. It's very expensive roaming in the USA

Yeah I was in doubt as to whether it was possible tbh.

I would imagine that a lot of places I’ll be able to use wifi when I’m there. To avoid these big costs is it as simple as just turning data roaming off in my settings or are there any other settings I should switch off before I go?
