Constant 'Sim card changed' messages

I recently received a new SIM  from Virgin  but since putting it into my Samsung A40 phone I get constant messages that say...Sim card changed. Restart your phone to start using your new SIM card.

It happens about twenty times a day and it makes no difference if I restart my phone. It's very frustrating.

Could the SIM be faulty or is there another solution?

Thank you.

Re: Constant 'Sim card changed' messages

I have exactly the same problem and have been living with it for 4-6 weeks but it is getting more frequent.  I hope that a response is forthcoming from Virgin.  I have removed and cleaned the contacts as proposed on another similar but different issue.

Re: Constant 'Sim card changed' messages

Hi

I just tried following support from Virgin Mobile webpage and got taken to the page at

https://devicesupport.virginmedia.com/customer/device/Samsung/GalaxyS20/scenario/create-a-new-apn#l=...

which suggested the APN need resetting.  I have done it but obviously don't know if it has worked yet.

Will update this chain.
