Change registered mobile phone in 'Your Device'

For mobile, on the 'Your Plan and Overview' my registered device is a Sony Ericsson K770i which I haven't had for about 10 years now but I can't see a way to update it. It also shows as my account as '3G only' presumably due to the device so since I'd like 4G plans, is it possible to update the device?

Virgin will only update the device shown if it was brought from Virgin, so if your phone is from a third party - the Sony stays listed.

If your on an old plan 3g or 4g, you can change to one of the new 4g plans available  https://www.virginmedia.com/mobile/sim-only/pay-monthly-sim/?contractDuration=12&tariffID=1176437114

But it will enter you into a new 12month  contract, you can make any enquiry via the text service 07533016422, would still need to phone in the end though - to say ok to the new contract and pass a credit check.
