Change contract mobile number

Can I change the mobile number I have on an existing contract as I want to swap number with my husband

Ok can I just change my virgin contract number to my husbands phone number instead

You cannot transfer a number that is active with another provider. 

If you follow the normal PAC process, you will not have the tariff that this number had as it will be cancelled and a brand new tariff agreed.
