Hi ,
I'm trying to install the profile for WiFi hotshots but every time I try I get the no response from server message.
I'm using my mobile connection.
Do I have to be on WiFi to be able to download?
I'm using Android 12
Thanks

This is a very long running issue. Hotspots don't work on Android 12 onwards. This is due to a new security restriction which prevents apps from installing WiFi profiles. Other hotspot providers like BT/Sky/O2 now offer other ways for Android users to connect to their networks but VM still aren't providing any alternative.

Hi Loosecanons,
Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community.
I am very sorry for any issues when setting up your profile for Hot Spots.
Can you please confirm if you are using the Connect App to do this?
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes I'm using the updated version of Virgin Media Connect on Android 12.
I have a variable 4G connection . It varies from 4G to H and E
I have a download speed of 1.1M . One point one MBps
Thanks

Ah. OK.
Surprising since VM and O2 have merged.
Perhaps that should be saved as a sticky post to save time.
Saves me trying again
Thank you

Thats really useful information cje85. Didnt know that about android.
That will be why, when I complained to O2 about poor speed, they said they would turn on calls over wi-fi for my account.

Hi,
Thanks. I've tried that method.
It looks like my version of Android isn't supported
Thanks for your help
