Cannot change APN

Hi there, I have recently cancelled my sim only Virgin mobile contract to join another provider, however I cannot set the new sim up as my phone will not let me change the APN settings from goto.virginmobile.uk - can anyone help?

Ideally the new APN should have downloaded when new sim was inserted, you can try reset network - was this with a IPhone or Android?.

Hi - thanks for your response. This is an iPhone XR and the new sim is iD mobile, not sure if that helps!

First I would just try the ID mobile checker for the settings  https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/get-your-settings/settings-tool

If it does not work, you may need to "reset network settings" first on the phone and then try above again  https://www.hardreset.info/devices/apple/apple-iphone-x/reset-network-settings/
