Can’t swap sim

Hi all,

I have been informed that a new sim has been shipped to my address and I need to swap it with mine within 7 days, since my current sim will be phased out. I am out of the country at the moment and won’t get back for a bit. Is it possible to get an esim instead or get the new sim to my current address abroad?

It would be great to talk with someone from virgin media.

Thanks

Hi Steffano,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear of your circumstances.

We're not able to send a SIM to anything other than a UK address. The SIM will also need to be activated in the UK. Do you have a friend or relative who would be able to collect the SIM from your address, activate it for you and then send on to your address abroad?

The only thing with doing this is that as soon as the new SIM becomes active, your existing SIM will stop working.

Pop back and let us know how you would like to proceed.

Thanks,

Hi Kath, thanks for letting me know.

Do I just need to pop the new sim in any phone to activate it?

Hi Steffano,

Thanks for coming back to me on this one.

You can find all the steps on how to activate the SIM here

Let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

Thanks,
