Can't call while abroad, roaming on

Me and my girlfriend, different acounts. When trying to make a call there is silence and call ends after a few seconds. We are on Greece at the moment, roaming on, International Call Bar is switched off. Both SIM cards replaced as advised. SMS goes through, calls not. Help!

Try selecting the networks manually 

Cosmote has been reported as working with Virgin.
