Call dropping, can't get through to 789

For the past eight weeks calls have been dropping on my partners phone, to the point where it's now unusable within a certain area, where she works (CV35 8SA).

The coverage checker says it should be fine and no other provider appears to be having any issues within that area, it's not the best signal area but it's good enough for every other network to work okay.

I'd be happy to try another SIM but today when calling 789 or the 0345 or the 0845 numbers I can't get through, call failed to every one of those numbers (other numbers seem to work fine), so I'm reaching out in desperation on here to see if someone can help me try and resolve this issue.

Just checked the EE website. (They supply the signal)

Virgin phones drop back to 3G to make voice calls and that does not look good in the area. 2G is better but it does say indoor coverage is better, but not brilliant

Thank you, I'll get her to try dropping down to 2G and see if that helps.

That's pretty poor from Virgin or EE to say there's good signal in the area when there isn't though right?

The coverage maps show predicted outdoor coverage. The 4G in the area is good and that is great for anyone using Data or has access to VoLTE (4G calling)

If you are indoors on 3G it's a different picture

... so to have a working modern phone with working features (like making calls) it looks like I should have opted for O2 or Vodaphone in that area, that isn't going to go down well with MrsD 😞
