Hi Paul,
Thanks for coming back and sticking with us on this one.
When in the UK, you wouldn't get any roaming charges as you would connect to the masts here however if you take your phone abroad you may end up having charges.
To protect yourself against these, you can put a spending cap on the account to stop any unexpected charges. You can find more information on this here.
Let us know if you have any further issues.
Thanks,

Hi there @axolotl
Thank you so much for your post and I'm so sorry to see this is happening with your data!
Can I just check is this only happening with your 5G mobile data? Can you still connect to 4G?
Also have you check your phone settings to ensure the 5G is enabled?
Thank you.

Hi @axolotl
Thanks for posting on our community forum!
Do you experience any issues at all when data roaming is switched on with this?

Hi Travis M
Re my previous reply, "SG" actually reads 5G. My eyes!
Re your Q, mobile internet works fine when Data Roaming is on. I'm happy with that so long as in the UK I'm not risking extra charges.
Thanks
Paul

Thanks Kath
I'm reassured re the charging issue, so I'm happy.
Still puzzled why my phone is doing this when my wife's identical phone (both bought in the same week) isn't.
Thanks for all the help.
Regards
Paul
