Hi I have Virgin PAYG. I am trying to top up using a voucher. I usually do this through 789, but this number is not working. I also tried to get my balance by texting balance to 789789. Came back with a text saying I had no minutes. What’s that all about

Thanks for letting me know that. Did you transfer to Asda? I have been looking, but it appears that you have to purchase a monthly £5 bundle. Still can’t get a reply from 789, so at a bit of a full stop at the moment

Looking at https://mobile.asda.com/pay-as-you-go the top section just seems to be the "familiar" PAYG topping up when you want with the amount you want

With 1p mobile it says on their website "To keep your account and SIM active, just make at least one £10 top-up every 120 days."
I just want to top up when I need to not when they tell me to.
Giff Gaff seem to be more expensive than Asda for calls, data and texts
