Re: 4G in London

Well EE gives them bandwidth and it’s obviously not enough to cover all Virgin Mobile customers. So sending an engineer out to the effected areas isn’t going to solve anything. It’s not effecting EE customers only Virgin and Plusnet.

In theory there isn’t a fault with the network it’s just over subscribed and the only resolution is to get more capacity from EE.

Plusnet,BT and EE are all the same company now, I’m surprised they don’t offer 4G voice on plusnet seeing that BT own the lot now.

Re: 4G in London

Yeah I know that l. Been saying from day one.

My response is aimed at the mods who keep asking for more data as the engineers need it.

The service is clearly over subscribed.

Re: 4G in London

Good morning,

Our apologies for the ongoing 4G issues in Central London.

We've chased this up for you and our engineers are still working to solve the issue, we're sorry but it is a complex issue and is taking some time to rectify.

We'll keep you posted once we have any further updates.

Re: 4G in London

Thanks mod team for being a bit more communicative recently.

The main frustration most of us have on top of the fact 4G doesn't work in London during peak hours, is that it took 3 months for virgin to acknowledge it was even a problem.

Also every day when I get off the train there is a large virgin mobile advert taunting me about the speeds you can't deliver in either of the UKs largest cities.

I appreciate it's complicated, which is why it would have been nice to start working on it back in November.

You can understand why people are leaving, or reporting you to the ASA I'm sure.

When can we expect any improvement or any indication of a date when it will be resolved? 4 months down the line it's the least you can do.

Re: 4G in London

Hi,

I have been having issues in Central London for at least a couple of months now.
I work in Great Marlborough Street.
Using 3G seems to help sometimes, but 4G is mostly useless.

Hoping the issue will be fixed soon, or I'll move to another network as soon as my contract is up.

Re: 4G in London

In central London today, around Cavendish Square, there was no 4g - only picking up 3G ..

looking increasinly like it’s time to move.
