I phone VM and after reboot etc I am told :
LEAVE TV AS IT IS, WAIT 3 HOURS AND IF THE HOME SCREEN HAS NOT APPEARED THEN PHONE US BACK AND WE'LL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ELSE!
3 hours! Somebody at VM is messing about! Totally inept customer service and fault repair response.
The clock is ticking .....
