programmes freezing, pixellating and jumping forward 5 minutes

I'm having major problems with my virgin TiVo box.

I record programmes on Tivo but when I try and watch them back, the programme will freeze, pixelate and jump forward 5 minutes at a time which is really really irritating as I miss important parts of the programme!

Its happening more and more and its getting really irritating now.  Can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance!

Re: programmes freezing, pixellating and jumping forward 5 minutes

Hello KaT2019

Thank you for posting on the forum and welcome. Apologies for the TV service issues experienced, clearly not the level of service or experience we want any of our customers to have.

Is this something you still require assistance with since your post? If so we're happy to help. Can you confirm which set top box you have? Did rebooting the box resolve the issue even temporarily? Can you ensure all cables are fitted securely in the back of the box for us please.

Rob

Re: programmes freezing, pixellating and jumping forward 5 minutes

Hi Rob,

yes im afraid I’m still having problems.

Its a Tivo set top box. We’ve had it approximately 4 years I think.

I’m not sure how to reboot the TiVo set top box? Can you please tell me?

Yes all all cables are secure and fitted properly.

Thank you for your help Rob, I really appreciate it!  😊👍

Re: programmes freezing, pixellating and jumping forward 5 minutes

Hi KaT2019,

Very sorry to hear this is still ongoing four you.

On the back of the TiVo box there is a power switch, simply flick this to off, wait about 30 seconds and then turn this back on, the box will load back on.

If you aren't able to get to the back of your box, you can follow the same steps as above but with the power supply.

Please let us know if this helps.

Thanks
