I have historically had our TIVO boxes powered on always.
Due to the current historic price increases in energy, been experimenting with low power standby modes and have noticed that both boxes do not wake up properly using either setting.
They just cycle, picture on for 10 to 30 secs then off for an instant repeat.
The only resolution is yo turn off and on.
As yiou can imagine this isnt a viable solution.
Anyone any ideas?
Also I used to be able to play the HD contents on either device but recently it only works one way. You can see the other tivo, access the contents but won't play.
Again any solution?
Or could the problems be linked?
Kind Regards

In what way? What happens? Do you get any error codes/messages?
The power-on issues sound like faulty boxes to me.

So when you choose a recording from the other TiVo and try to watch it... what happens?
If it doesn't play, there should be an error code or error message generated. That code will give a clue as to what's going on.
