TiVo on demand unavailable

Using the online reset didn't work.
Switching off/on the TiVo didn't work and it took much longer than usual to restart (multiple restarts automatically).
Calling 150 and waiting for the automated test did work. I did not wait in the 15 minute estimated queue.
So, what does the 150 test do that the online one doesn't?
Why doesn't the online test do the same?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with On Demand.

Do you get any messages/error codes on screen?

Does the issue affect all of On Demand or just certain areas?
