TiVo box beyond slow

hiya team,

having had such excellent support here before with my flakey SH2 box, i thought i'd look for help with my v v slow TiVo box.

We have 2 x V6 and 1 x TiVo from when we had the system installed with the full package. While the V6 boxes aren't without their quirks, the TiVo box is so slow and laggy its almost impossible to utilise online services.

HD movies will not play (SD work ok)

Netflix and YouTube you need to go make cuppa while awaiting it to load up.

 

Any ideas??

Sounds like normal slow TiVo behaviour to me

given the cost of the virgin media package (over £1500 per year), it would be nice if i could access it all from all devices Smiley Sad

I have just checked my bill and contract and it states I should have 2 additional boxes. 

What it doesn't state is what those boxes should be - would be much more suitable if those were V6 boxes.

Getting a new package now would see me with having all V6 boxes.

My contract expires in January and its the time to start looking at sky, nowTV, streaming services etc etc.

I don't know what is the best option.

it still won't play any HD content

SD content is ok (but thats not what i'm paying for)

my child who uses that room also gets fed up of waiting for netflix and youtube and I find him in the main lounge

Just weighing up my options at contract renewal - its frustrating that new customers get such good deals.

when i moved to V6 from TiVo i got the new customer deals but this time i've only been offered 10% off (new customers get 50%) and an upgrade to 350mbs

almost worth just going back to freeview
