hi , im looking for some help , is there any virgin media team online , as i had my quickstart kit delivered on wednesday , and was having trouble getting broadband connected cause it needed activating so spent 2 hrs on phone getting put through to different departments with no joy and to be put on hold for 1 hour 15 minutes then to be cut off ,so i don't want to go down that route ,anyway i left the router till next morning turned on and it connected fine , now i am having problems with tivo v6 connected that up last night left over night and all i get is a message floating around screen with error code 7400 and tbh i don't really want to spend hrs on phone getting put through to different departments , so is there anyway there's a member of the virgin media team who sees this post and can message me please regards emma
VM have recently started pre-activating their equipment, and the box should call "home" and be activated within 30 minutes, however sometimes this fails and the advice is to sign into Service status at the top of this page and run a test against the equipment you are installing. By doing this VM will be able to reboot the box or put you in touch with the right team.
You could also try the following, call 0800 953 9500 to activate the box. You will need the box serial number, and your account number and area code.
You could also try contacting New accounts and Set Up for them to complete the setup and activation. That is 150 from a Virgin landline options 1,1,1 and 4 or 0345 4541111 from any other phone, options 1,1, 2 and 4.
OK just a update called virgin media regarding this error been on phone for a total of 2 hrs both times phone gets disconnected after 1 hr or so , and don't manage to get to speak to anyone so since the quickstart pack was delivered on wednesday i have been on phone to virgin regarding my problems i'm having total over 4 hrs and i still have same problem , this is getting very frustrating now, as im spending my evenings phoning virgin media , and the only times i can phone is after 6pm because of work commitments.. so i stress if any of the virgin media team read this can you please private message me on how i can or you can activate my quickstart other than sitting on phone for hrs....
