Subtitles out of sync

A weird error has been happening on recorded programs.

The subtitles race ahead of the program, showing up for a second then quickly moving on.
After about 10 seconds the subtitles freeze on one sentence and will stay frozen until the program has caught up and gets back in sync.

The issue can be temporary resolved by either turning subtitles on and off again or rewinding the program for a second and pressing play.

The problem does reoccur after a few moments.


Is there a permanent solution?

Hi,

Yes the problem is across all recorded programs.

It is still happening.

Good evening, 

May I ask whether this was resolved? We have two TiVo boxes at home and both boxes are suffering from this issue. Rebooting of both boxes does not fix the problem for us.

Has there been any  improvement in your TV services, particularly the subtitles since your post? If the issue still persists, we can look into it and run further diagnostics. We can do this via online chat.

Thank you. I was using your chat for assistance.  I had to phone in the end as I was not able to reconnect to the original person I was speaking too. He was very helpful but could only go so far as I wasnt at home. 

 

The person on the phone rebooted both boxes. I will update if this has helped.
