Another useful post I see - I am trying to find the reason for the multiple recordings - while you are just getting in the way.

If it works on one unit and not the other then there is a good chance the difference in settings is the problem - yes or no?

In your original post you said records one of each on Ch4hd  AND sky sports HD. Which means 2.

as I said I understand how it works I object to it changing it how it feels like it.

the old way I got the Grand Prix on non HD channel 4.

since the new system WITHOUT ME DOING ANYTHING it recorded everything and messed up what was already there.

if it left what was done alone and only new we're on + it would not be as bad.

The problem is the series link+ update made assumptions.

i only ever set Grand Prix to record on Channel 4.

it was set twice once for the live shows and once for the highlights of the races it didn't have live.

it seems to think that means I want everything recording, I don't. I only want channel 4 showings recorded.

when it updated it should have left my choices as they were and on record Channel 4.

not decide I want to record Audio Description and HD as well.

i don't and never have but it choice to overwrite what I wanted. As a result it messed up my other recordings.

what I set worked they changed it, it broke what was working it's as simple as that. 

I understand how it is supposed to work I object to it changing things I didn't want.

if I wanted everything on every channel I'd have set a wish list. I DIDN'T. So why assume that's what I want.
