Retention

I am due to leave Virgin Media at the end of the month, having recently cancelled my contract as a result of price rises.  I currently pay £46 a month for my package which I am happy enough with, but the best the retentions team can offer me is £56 a month which is more than a 20% increase.  Moreover, new customers can currently get the same deal for £45 a month.

I can go to Sky for a similar package at £40 a month which I'm currently inclined to do, but it just seems perverse that they would be happy to lose an existing customer at a higher monthly tariff than they are offering elsewhere.

Has anyone else had this experience and managed to reach a satisfactory outcome?

Re: Retention

if you want new customer prices you have to be willing to move between providers.

Most people can;t be bothered so the model of moving for the best deals works

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.
