Programme glitching every few seconds on virgin media with a loud clicking noise, making it impossible to watch any programmes. Fine on other methods like fire stick, Iplayer etc. 
We have rebooted various times and checked connections with no affect. 

Internet drops regularly too. No issues in the area and neighbours all fine.

A loud-clicking noise could be your hard drive failing, but are these recorded programmes? OnDemand?

Your TiVo has an inbuilt-internet connection separate from your home broadband, so pop some details about those issues in the broadband forum - https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/bd-p/Speed . Forum users who have broadband expertise may not look in this TV section.
