Parental pin

I have never set up a parental pin on my TiVo box but I'm being asked for one to watch an episode of Coronation Street before the 9pm watershed that I recorded.  I don't have any children so don't require one. When I go to Help & Settings, then Parental Controls it's still asking me to enter a pin number, so I can't even get in to turn it off which is really frustrating. Any ideas?

Re: Parental pin

Hi as Ernie_C said that is the default pin so if you wish for any reason you can set one of your choice, if not just revert to 1234.Regards Micky

Re: Parental pin

Is there any way to turn off Parental Controls completely for TV et al ?

Even "Standard" is "only the least completely annoying" setting.

Re: Parental pin

not for something like sky movies no. it is the law (ofcom and successive government collaboration) that pins are in place to protect under 15's/18's etc regardless of whether there are children living in the house.

i don't see it ever changing. with social media facing a crackdown on what they show, i can see netflix etc also having a mandatory pin in place pre watershed sometime soon.
