Other Tivo boxes

According to Virgin media there should be an option to "choose other tivo boxes" when

selecting "My Shows" on the tv.I don`t find this option anywhere,is it hidden?

Re: Other Tivo boxes

Other TiVos/V6s are accessibly by selecting My Shows and then paging down in the resultant screen.

From helpfile:

  1. Scroll down to the end of the My Shows. There you’ll see the name(s) of Virgin TV V6 or TiVo boxes you have connected together

Re: Other Tivo boxes

Thanks for the answer,I think the clue is "Tivo boxes connected together".We have a V6 and a Tivo 500 but I don`t know about them being

connected together,how does that work?

Re: Other Tivo boxes

The connection occurs through your home network.

V6 has to be connected to your home network to operate as well as to the cable co-ax.

TiVo normally operates with only a cable co-ax connection.

To allow a TiVo to participate in MultiRoom Streaming, you have to connect it to your home network.

TiVo, unlike V6, has no WiFi capability, so you have to connect it to your Superhub by Ethernet, either direct Ethernet cable or via powerline adapters.

Re: Other Tivo boxes

Test of what?

If both the TiVo and the V6 are hardwired by Ethernet to the Superhub, as well as both being connected to the co-ax, MultiRoom Streaming should work and you can access one box’s My Shows from the TV connected to the other box, and vice versa.

Re: Other Tivo boxes

Thanks for your reply, seems they`re possibly not connected to the co-ax.

Re: Other Tivo boxes

All Virgin Media boxes MUST be connected to the cable co-ax and be active and paid for on your Virgin Media account to be able to operate.

In addition, all V6s MUST be connected to your broadband Superhub to work.

In addition, any TiVo that you want to participate in MultiRoom Streaming MUST be connected to your broadband Superhub, as well as to the co-ax cable.
