No pic of sound but can see home screen

Can someone please tell me why i cant get a pic or sound on the tv but can see the home screen and move around on it?it doesnt make sense!is the boxed knackered?

Hi if you have home screen, try help & settings, settings, network, reconnect to the virgin media network. Regards Micky

Tried that mick..managed to finally get hold of vm..some guy was on about 2 green lights their end and was only seeing 1...i tried everything in the book..got an "engineer" coming monday..will post the outcome.

Something about hdcp???its something to do with the box talking to the tv...i put the settings up on the screen and he picked up on it...i googled what it meant and turned the tv off at the wall and hey presto...problem solved.
