No TV Picture mostly

I hope someone can stop me being confused.

My service has only been installed for a couple of weeks.

Have no picture on TV for any channels. Have sound though. Even on the programs I have recorded.

It is the same for Iplayer but I have picture and sound for Netflix (now you see why I am confused). The tv is fine with the dvd player so I know its not the TV.

I have followed the help troubleshooter and have done a reset on the box (several times) and it has made no difference at all.

Anyone any ideas???

Re: No TV Picture mostly

You TV isn't giving the correct handshake, you could try a different hdmi lead or port and see if there are any software updates for your tv, if your hdmi lead goes through a sound system 1st try connecting it directly to the tv

It may be your TV is too old I think the minimum HDMI requirement for the V6 is 1.4

Re: No TV Picture mostly

At this point, it would be useful to know the make and model of your TV.

Your TV may simply be too old to operate with the current copy protection requirements needed by modern output specifications.

Do you think a 1.4 hdmi splitter would work in this case?

Its a Samsung LE32R73BD

First time I've heard of this copy protection requirements.... suppose its one way to get people to upgrade things that still work.
