Netflix stops and says there’s a network connection issue

I have a TiVo box (SMT-C7100). I’ve just subscribed to Netflix. Watching stranger things and I’m getting 1080. After 10 mins it buffers, gets to 25%, and stops with the  error message below. What can I do to fix this?

Your device may not be connected to the internet. Please make sure your connection is working and try again.

i did a network diagnostic test on the set top box and it did say it is using a wired connection , can talk to all 4 Netflix servers, but only had 3.32mbps. Everything else in my house can still talk to the internet st full speed though.

What should i do?

Re: Netflix stops and says there’s a network connection issue

The TiVo box has its own 10mb internet connection, which isn't really up to the job any more. Could be a signal issue, but best course of action is to upgrade to a V6 box.

If your out of contract then you might be able to negotiate one for free if you speak with retentions.

Thanks. I’ll have a word. Tempted to just cancel and move to BT though.

Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
