Netflix issues for 1 month - only fix to reset TiVo v6, 6 months okd

Hi,

 

have 350mb and TiVo v6, for 5 months Netflix worked flawlessly and for the last month I’m having various connectivity issues only fixed by rebooting the TiVo box as advised by calling Netflix. This does resolve the problem but the TiVo box takes at least 5 min to reboot and is required almost daily. This is not convenient or practical. This is only related to TiVo and not iphone, iPad, tv, PS4 all on the same network. Not TiVo is hardwired to router.

 

how can I get a new TiVo box to resolve this, as clearly the box is at fault, given it did work fine and my other devices work seamlessly on the same network?

Hi a V6 box is the real answer to this as the older TiVo boxes are notoriously bad at handling things like Netflix YouTube etc.Regards Micky

Thanks for the reply. I have a v6 box already and it must be faulty.

 

can anyone help to replace this?

 

its not functional for my needs and so frustrating when it should just work.

Sorry to hear you're having some trouble with watching Netflix on the box.

 

I've run a health check and a couple of the tuners on the box aren't what they should be, can you please reboot the box for me, let me know when you have and I'll run the checks again.

Thanks, it’s reset now, would say I’m resetting every couple of days though, with a 5-10 min reboot it’s just not practical.

Hi Joe, I've run another health check after you did what Alexandra asked and its come back with no faults found, all green. 

Could you check to see how its working now?

If its still not working we can send out a replacement if needed 🙂

Hi,

had further problems again yesterday, with similar connectivity faults.

to reaffirm, the TiVo v6 box is hard wired directly to the virgin router. The virgin router has not had connectivity problems, and all other devices have no Netflix issues at the same time on the same network, connecting both wirelessly and wired.

Please help with a replacement box.

Had problems again last night.

 

im questioning the value with having virgin now, given its such a hindrance to watch Netflix on. I only have virgin for the sport, but maybe I will try something else as my contract ends shortly. This is not me trying to give an ultimatum but just voicing my frustration.

your adjustments haven’t helped and I have had no contact regarding a replacement box you mentioned.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Joenixon1986, we don't see posts immediately on our Forum due to the filtering  and would like to thank you for your patience.

 

I can't see any problems when looking at your V6 box but clearly something isn't right.

 

Are there any errors showing when you're watching Netflix? Does it happen at different times of the day regardless on how long your V6 box has been on for?

 

 Are you able to watch On Demand, TV Catchup or BBC iPlayer for example with any problems?
