Netflix buffer getting stuck at 25%

Hi recently via my virgin box using my Netflix app, I can be watching a film or series and suddenly it starts buffering at 25% then says Internet connection issue  or sometimes gives error codes .. There is no set time this happens it just happens . I am getting no where with virgin contact centers unplugging and signing in and out does not work . Does anyone know what the issue is and how to fix  Thanks
